Pretty Confident !

Hey Pretty! How are you so dang confident? That is a question I have gotten many of times. How do I become more confident? That is a question I have heard many of times. How do I boost my confidence ? That  is a question I have asked many of times. Confidence to me is all about perception. You know, how you perceive yourself or something that you do. What is your perception on yourself. What do you think about you? Take a minute to answer that and be honest with yourself. How do you feel about you? Now answer this question, how do  you want to perceive yourself? How do you want to feel about you? We all, of course, have that one thing about ourselves that we just don't like. It may be a physical part of our self or a mental part of our self. Either way its completely normal. You know those days where you just feel the need to eat pizza and nit pick every little thing that you wish you could change? Yea, we all know the feeling. Even the greatest of the greatest get insecure sometimes. Whether you're Jessica from down the street or Beyonce, we could all always use a little pep talk. So what are some ways to get that extra confident boost and feel like a more beautiful you?

1. YOU GET WHAT YOU GIVE! 

There is some sort of saying about putting things out into the universe, you know, the whole "speaking things into existence" theory. Well I for one am an advocate for that theory. I think if you put out positive energy you'll receive it back. I have yet to meet a "negative Nelly" who had the best confidence in the world. Wake up in the morning and say something positive! Look in the mirror every single day and give yourself a compliment. I know I know it sounds super corny but I am really serious. Do this every day for thirty days. In the beginning it will be really weird. You might even feel uncomfortable and probably wont even believe what you're saying but as the days go by you will get more comfortable with speaking positive about yourself and it will eventually become a habit, which is a good thing. That is what we are aiming for here.

2. THE "IN OUT, OUT IN" THEORY! 

 Take care of you! I don't mean to be the beauty person to beat you over the head with health stuff but I have to today. A lot of our confidence problems come from things in our appearance. Okay, so of course we know appearance isn't everything but it is something. What is one of the things you hear people complain about the most? Yes, that's right, weight! Let me tell you the good thing about weight. For the most part, we have control over our weight! In most cases if we don't like it we can change it! Now i'm not saying its going to be a walk in the park but anything worth having is worth working for. You are what you eat right? So if you eat good things (good meaning good for you not tasty ) , you will feel good, and you will look good. That is the "IN OUT" portion. Now that we've taken care of our insides lets work on the out. Again I say, take care of you! That means your outer appearance too. I'm not saying you have to wear makeup and fancy clothes but make your self look nice. Wash your face, brush your hair, shave your legs, and maybe even wear some perfume! Do what ever it is that makes you feel PRETTY (we like that word.) When we look nice on the outside we start to feel our self! *'insert Feelin' Myself- Nicki Minaj ft. Beyonce* . That is, of course, the "OUT IN" portion. Simple , right?

3. WHO ARE THEY!  

These days we (using the word "we" loosely) just care too much about what other people think about us. Stop paying attention to everyone else's opinions about you. The only person who has control over you is, well, you!  Don't be afraid to do things that you want to do because of the fear of being judged . Do what makes you happy ! So you want to wear that eye shadow that clearly does not match your skin tone? Uhm, think long about it first but hey do it! Forget what I or anyone else thinks! That eye shadow makes you feel good so girl/boy work that eye shadow or that dress or eat that whole box of medium pan pizza with extra cheese and banana peppers! Live in your truth and be happy about who you are! Don't let anyones negative opinion have an affect on your confidence. After all WHO THE HECK ARE THEY?!

So pretties, at the end of the day we learned here to just be you! There is only one you and no one can be you better than you and no one can tell you how to do you. I just said "you" six times in one sentence. I digress, Stay you, stay classy, and stay pretty!
