Kids Fashion Mayhem! : Little Miss

Hey Pretty!  
So its back to school time for the kiddies and they are probably nagging you about wanting everything they see! Kids these days are becoming more and more fashionable and are wanting to keep up with the trends just like us! Today we are going to make the wish come to true of all the little princesses and play a little dress up....while staying in dress code of course! (Todays blog is a CLICK AND BUY! All you have to do is click the picture!)

Ok so what is the most annoying thing about dressing kids? Socks! They are always losing socks! R.I.P to all the socks that were lost this year. Socks are a must have most of the times and kids like fun socks! When I was little I only wanted socks with designs or cartoon characters on it. Little Miss Matched has the cutest socks and get this .....THEY ARE SCENTED! Yes, I said it SCENTED socks. All types of scents are available from apple to candy to watermelon to make your daughters little toes smell mmm mmm good!



Ok so I think it is pretty save to say that everyone loves a good graphic tee ! These language tees are super cute and super easy to dress up or dress down. They are great for school and great to play in!


                      
Crop tops are in for adults and teens right now but you little ones can get on the trend to! These cropped shirts are  age-appropriate and so cute. They come in different colors and have a cut out heart on the back! Your little miss can feel like her big sister!


So of course the kids need backpacks to hold all of their supplies so lets do it in style! Kids love showing off their character backbacks and these backpacks will have your little one flaunting around on the school bus. They are sturdy and pig enough to hold as many supplies as your kid needs and this adorable smiley face lunch box is a great pair. I mean look at ! It doesnt get cuter than that.


Skirts skirts skirts! The cutest way to dress up your little one for school! Girls like to wear jeans and play but we also like dress up and look cute! This laser cut out skirt is my favorite! Like c'mon you have to get this one if nothing else with some cute jewelry like this necklace!

They need shoes! Shoes are a way to a girls heart! Tennis shoes, flats, heels,or boots , it doesnt matter we love them all ! Children wear out shoes really fast so make sure you get quality shoes ! We need something that will last them all school year!

"Pretty International" Beauty Around the World: South Korea

Hey Pretty!  So today is Tuesday and that means that today we are going to take someone time to appreciate a different standard of beauty. It is important that we open our minds to understanding and appreciating other cultures and not just our own. Today we are going to look at none other than South Korea!  (Remember this is generalized)

EYES

Although when a lot of us hear Asian we think "slanted" or 'chinky" eyes , Koreans actually like the opposite. They seem to really enjoy the big "doll like" eye look and wear their eyeliner in such a way that it opens up their eyes and make them appear to be bigger. It is also common for Korean women to go through eye surgery to obtain a "double eyelid". 

TANNING

Tanning is a pretty big part of white American culture and other cultures as well. Here "pale" or "pasty" skin is not usually considered extremely attractive but that is quite different in Korea. As a matter of fact, the lighter the skin the better. They will actually avoid any type of tanning. Makeup and skin care products often contain skin lightening or bleaching agents. 

FACES

So there is a "small" vs "big" thing going here. Koreans equate having a "small face" as being cute. A big face for example big around the jawline and high cheek bones is not considered attractive and you will often see them make "cute" hand gestures in pictures, like the one below, to cover their face size. a "V line" face however is what is considered beautiful and Koreans will often try many methods to achieve this look. In the picture above you can see a young girl who had cosmetic surgery to get a V line and bigger eyes. 

FASHION

So "dress to impress" is very ideal. If your going out in public looking nice is a must. Not to far fetch right? However unlike her where wearing a short mini skirt and high heels is considered "sluty", there its pretty much no big deal. Most think it makes them look taller and tall is good here.

BODY

There isn't much to say here except THIN , THIN, AND MORE THIN! Plus size is not a praised thing here.  S-line is the best line. 

MALE VS. FEMALE

This to me is the most different beauty standard to me if comparing Korea to America. Are beauty standard for our men is extremely different. The difference in the Korean beauty standard for men and women is actually pretty vague. The women wear makeup...so do the men. The women keep their hair done and often change its color but....so do the men. The woman care about fashion....so do the men. Here we would consider the men to be "feminine" but there is just a matter of a good looking appearance.

Monday Blues

Hey Pretty! It's Monday. I know I know, you instantly got depressed after reading that. Welcome to Monday,  the most hated day of the week. You have to roll out of bed after having a crazy or relaxing weekend and go deal with life now like bills and stuff. You're dragging yourself to school or work probably without any makeup on  and Victoria Secret " Pink" sweatpants. You, my friend, have the Monday blues! Today we're taking the Monday blues quite literally. I am going to show you blue fashion pieces and makeup looks to help embrace your Monday blues.

Yes, maxi dresses are still in my friend and this dress definitely takes maxi to the max! Its the perfect was to accentuate those curves you've been working on all winter. This dress is called "Dont Hold Back,"

This dress named "Dance With Me", also from MissHolly.com.au is stunning. Its perfect if you want just a touch of blue. It also accentuates those curves and lifts those boobies. This dress gets an A+ ! 

Want to spice up your make up look ? Add some color! I know nudes, pinks and golds are safe for makeup looks but lets try something new! I love this look that  Jaclyn Hill did ! Its full of color but still pretty neutral. It pops without being to bright and thats a great way to start if you want to add color in.
